This whole trip wasn't really that smooth, since we had bad weather for the 3-day weekend. But the people I got to meet and talk to were awesome. And that's what makes this trip so memorable. Starting with sitting by Mette from Denmark, we found much in common. We both like classical music and play the violin, though she was on the Copenhagen Symphony or whatever it's called for many years. She likes to travel and ironically has been to more asian countries than I have. Such a shame, haha, you know. That's what Mette would say about it with her great laugh. Everyone was cracked up by her laugh due to the energy and chemistry involved in her laugh. She's such an enthusiast.
Clara, her last name is pretty noticiable- GOOD. She's a really nice person. Through her far-sighted glasses, her light blue eyes just look extra huge in the effect of magnification. The only time I got shocked from her was that she heard a rap song on Amir's iPod and started rapping along, swearing and cussing, you know.
Emily, I've known her for some time since the orientation. She's just awesome because she never blows you off, always eager to listen to what you have to say and elaborate on the part that you didn't say much about. and she's in love with this Zach guy who taught her Spanish. I don't know why I remember random stuff but I just do. But we had a good time singing "Don't STop Me Now" by Queen. that's the first time I had so much time singing with another person like that. We did our crazy dance and all that good stuff. Besides, I didn't know there's other people on Earth who also like that song because when I tried to play it in class in high school, people told me to shut it off.
Edward, for whom I made a nickname, Chainsaw Eddy. It was just some random talk between Emily and I. We were just making up stories about the lodge we were staying at. Because of all the disconnection from the outside world, including the regular phone, cell phone, and the only store in town was closed for the weekend, we had this idea of being in one of those horror movies where people are trapped in an isolated town and zombies, vampires start killing off people. Anyway, Edward was a cool guy, actually I know it from the first sight. He knows everything but he doesn't easily show off. Not until you get to know him will you hear his stories about his travel in Europe where the chicks speak about their first time and what's their moan and experiences are like. Edward seems to know people well enough to break through the gender barrier so girls and gays, side by side, come to him. haha, you know, they have to come together.
Kendra, American from Kansas, teaches ESL at UW. She's like Emily, so willing to hear people out and always wears a smile on the face and so sweet to people. For some reason she found her hobby of pinching me. So I showed her the hourse bite on the lap. that's when we really broke the ice. she also tried to show me Spanish and told me how "easy" it'd be becuz of all the roots shared in English and Spanish. Bravo...
The big night was that as people were getting drunk(not really) we started pig piling on Eddy's bed and chatted about stupid things... that's when Mette was really out, bursting out laughing on random topics and all that. But yeah, Sid was telling some very perverted jokes that we didn't get that Ed, Emily and I were just staring at each other with eyes wide open.
